The people and purpose behind Clear Conversations

About Clear Conversations Toolkit

Meet the people behind Clear Conversations

Clear Conversations Toolkit is developed by The Success Institute, an Australian training business led by director Paul Puckridge.

Our focus is practical workplace learning: helping managers and professionals turn ideas into actions they can use with their teams, colleagues and clients.

Clear Conversations brings that focus to the conversations that need care, preparation and courage.

Why we created it

Making space for the conversations we put off

A missed deadline, unclear responsibility or concern about behaviour can be difficult to raise. When managers and colleagues are unsure how to begin, the conversation can be delayed while the issue continues.

Clear Conversations gives workplace conversations a practical starting point: check the facts, clarify the expectation, consider the other person’s perspective and prepare a useful next step.

Our approach

Clear thinking. Honest words. Respectful listening.

Prepare thoughtfully

Understand your concern, your purpose and the assumptions you may be bringing.

Speak with care

Be clear about what matters while allowing room for another perspective.

Move forward together

Look for practical agreements and follow through on the next steps.

Our purpose

Clearer expectations. More constructive workplace conversations.

We want managers, teams and professionals to address workplace issues earlier, with clarity and respect. The same preparation habits can also support occasional conversations outside work.

Our purpose is to encourage conversations that help people understand each other, address concerns earlier and take responsibility for what happens next.
